About

Korea

Korea is a Finnish word — it means something colorful, cute, and neat. It's also the name of a company run by Peki Sinikoski. Korea is a creative studio that connects the brightest minds from different fields — where great ideas move faster than org charts.

Peki Sinikoski

Most people know Sinikoski from the photographs he has exhibited on four continents. His images have been published in media including The Guardian, Vogue, The New Yorker, Le Monde, Stern, YLE, and Helsingin Sanomat — just to name a few.

Peki also works as an author. His books have been published in many languages, with the latest released in South Korea.

Not Just Code

But his public image is not the whole truth. Rather than isolating storytelling, concept creation, design, development, and content into separate silos — he unites them. Stories, creativity, UIX design, and code work together to craft experiences that solve problems and bring people together.

Whether working hands-on or leading a creative team, Peki is able to think fast and holistically — from the big picture to the smallest details. That is how he has built a career that spans across industries and continents. Peki has created work in really diverse fields that has touched lots of people around the world.

It's also fascinating to see how he is able to pull creatives and thinkers from different fields together to create something new and exciting. He is good with people and speaks natively tech, design, branding, and storytelling.

ÄCID — Nordic AI Lab

Currently Peki is deep in several AI-related projects through ÄCID — a Nordic AI lab in Helsinki working for the public good, without waiting for permission.

Most companies use AI to chase yesterday's goals faster and cheaper. At ÄCID, we think we should aim higher. Optimization is what you do when you have run out of ideas. We want to find answers to problems the world has not solved yet. That is where we play.

Our success comes from bold choices, imaginative leaps, and building toward a future worth working for. If we create smiles, wellbeing, and kindness — profit will follow.
